The body was carved out of 5 layers of cake (9” rounds). The head was a small cake & RKT; the tail was also RKT. Then many circles were cut from fondant & layered on to look like scales. Blue “Luster Dust” was added for highlights. I had to use a ring of stiff paper for the neck, to get the head to balance.
